THE TORI AMOS SIGNING
I've been listening to Tori's music since 1992, been to a slew of shows - but this was the first time I got to meet her face to face...

But getting this reaction from Tori was worth the trip alone...

After that I met up with M again and we caught glimpses of J. Michael Straczynski, Kyle Baker...

World War Z and Zombie Survival Guide author Max Brooks, Superman...

And eventually we made our way to Blake Bell's panel for his new book, Strange and Stranger: The World of Steve Ditko...

With Blake Bell, Liana K, Jim Starlin and (not pictured) Kim Deitch, Carl Potts, Dean Mullaney and Gary Groth.

The last stop of the evening was the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund auction. The first item of the evening was a full Watchmen team illustration by Dave Gibbons. Gibbons ran the auction himself and got an absolutely insane $9,500 for the piece!
I was only interested in one item - the latest Lithograph #1: Neil Gaiman by Dave Sim and Neil. Unfortunately, I am no match for wealthy Gaiman fans and I had to bail out at $1,200. Ah well, maybe next year. Can't really be mad when I think about the CBLDF making so much money!
I also got to meet Mile High Comics' Chuck Rozanski (who ran the rest of the auction) - a Comic Con celebrity in his own right. He said I could get a picture with him on one condition: since a lot of guys who get successful get a big head about it, we had to have two shots taken.
One "nice"...
And one of the "real" Chuck:)

One day left... and a secret plan in the final stages...
